Bejeweled 2 Deluxe Review
Bejeweled 2 is a very addictive puzzle game available on Xbox Live Arcade, but is it worth the points? Find out in our review.

Bejeweled 2 is a very addict puzzle game; in fact it has plenty for you to do. Besides the fact that there are a total of twelve achievements for you to try and unlock, you have four different game types.

The first is classic. The main point with the game is you have some different colored jewels, and you must trade places with one jewel, swapping place to have three or more jewels in a row. It is easy, and addict at the same time. Eventually it gets harder, and harder, so the game helps exercise your brain pretty thoroughly. When you do so, the jewels disappear, and you end up receiving a certain amount of points, and sometimes you can combo and create more points. Action mode is a lot like classic, but you can combo, and get more jewels easier, but you have a time meter also, and if you use a time, or don’ score hits for awhile it drains quickly. Puzzle, the whole point is to get rid of all the jewels on the board, and this one is definitely the most mind-bending one. Endless really is just a free mode, that lets you practice your skill.

It is definitely a fun game, with a very nice presentation for a puzzle game, with literally hours of fun if puzzle games are your thing. There are a few bad things about it though—for one it is 800 points, or ten dollars. That is kind of steep for a game that is basically on cell-phones and MSN Gamezone. Granted, there is more to the game, but it is the same idea no matter what mode. Still, if you are looking for a puzzle game and Hexic HD isn’t enough for you, this is the best one to buy.

I wouldn’t exactly call this one a buy, so you might want to try the demo version out first. If puzzle games are your thing, it is definitely worth it. Otherwise the price may be to steep for you to warrant a buy.
